‘Prophet Joseph’ actor film may go to Oscars

‘No Prior Appointment’ starring famous actor in ‘Prophet Joseph’ series has solid possibility of being Iran’s entry for the 95th Academy Awards.

According to the latest speculations by Iranian local media, there is every likelihood that ‘No Prior Appointment’ by Behrouz Shoeibi to be selected among other Oscar candidates as Iran’s submission at the 2023 Oscars.

‘No Prior Appointment’ narrates the story of Yasaman, a woman who returns to Iran after years, following her father’s death.

Her son deals with autism and this makes the trip challenging for Yasaman.

The titular star of ‘Prophet Joseph series, Mostafa Zamani, along with Pegah Ahangarani, Elham Korda and Saber Abar makes up cast list of the flick.

Iran has one of the best track records in the Oscars International Feature Film category with famed Iranian director Asghar Farhadi winning two Oscars for ‘A Separation’ and ‘The Salesman’.
